Invisalign and Invisible Braces by Philadelphia, PA and Lawrenceville, NJ Orthodontists Drs. Roberts & de Marsche
Very few people have naturally straight teeth. For years, wearing Orthodontic braces were your only option. Until now. Introducing “Invisalign,” a revolutionary new way to straighten your teeth… without metal braces.
Imagine getting a perfect smile without the prolonged period of sharp metal and wires in your mouth. That’s what invisible braces deliver. Invisible braces and “Invisalign” braces are a brand-new trend in tooth alignment and straightening. For the average patient, it means freedom from the negative aspects of wearing braces.
Today, over 100,000 people are using invisible braces, and the number grows every day. Though invisible braces will never replace metal braces fully, the majority of our patients are eligible for invisible braces while only severe cases will require metal braces. Drs. Roberts and de Marsche are orthodontists in Philadelphia, PA and Lawrenceville, NJ, who can provide invisalign braces for you.
How invisible and Invisalign braces work
The invisible brace system is a series of clear plastic aligners that gradually achieve the same result of metal braces. The plastic is nearly invisible and can be removed when you wish to eat or chew gum. Cleaning your teeth is also easier with invisible braces because you can still brush and floss without having to remove your braces.
The process of fitting your invisible braces begins with a careful examination of your teeth. Using the latest advances in 3-D computer technology, Invisalign creates a model of your teeth with a computer. The system then generates a series of precisely customized aligners for your teeth.
You then wear each set of aligners for about two weeks, moving your teeth gradually – week by week – millimeter by millimeter – until you’ve achieved perfectly straightened teeth. Generally, you visit the orthodontic office once every 2 to 3 weeks and the average treatment time is less than one year.
At your initial examination, Dr. William Roberts or Dr. de Marsche will help you decide if Invisalign is right for you.
